Adele may have to pay a $1600 fine for not registering her baby's birth with the British government. British citizens have 42 days to register their baby, and that deadline has now passed.
According to The Inquisitr, the singer has kept details about her little boy very quiet since giving birth in October, even keeping his name a secret. This desire to protect his privacy and keep him out of the public eye is very easy to understand.
The article explains that the new mom is not likely to be in much trouble for failing to register her baby. A maximum fine of around 1,000 pounds is the most she will probably face, and with record sales for her latest album past the 10,000 mark she should be just fine with that.
Whether it was just an oversight or a deliberate desire to avoid any and all publicity for at least a couple of months, the baby boy will have to be an official U.K. baby now!
