I have been hearing and reading that people are experiencing more stress this year than in years past. I have heard that holidays are the time most likely to cause stress so bad that the suicide rate goes up. I know that the economy has most of us worried. I am wondering if we can all share what we do to relieve stress. I am in hopes that these tips will help other gather members.
I love the Christmas season. However, I too experience stress this time of year. At least I have in the past. I am trying hard to not let it consume me this year. Here are a few things that we are doing to reduce stress this Christmas:
1. We called our daughters and explained that we just did not have money to spend this year so it was going to be a smaller than normal gift giving time.
2. We purchased each Grandchild one gift. It not only saved money but it saved gas and time as well.
3. We are going to be on the road this Christmas so I am baking cookies at home to enjoy on the trip. This will eliminate those large expenses on chips and junk food at gas stations.
4. I love Christmas music. I have been making my own Christmas music list on iTunes. There is tons of free music out.
What are you doing to eliminate or cut down on stress as the Christmas season arrives?
