Thirty-eight-year-old Debra Miller missed Thanksgiving and her daughter's 14th birthday over the course of her disappearance—while leading the media and public to believe she was a possible abduction victim or may have met foul play. On the contrary, she was never in danger and had instead "kidnapped herself" to "get away" on a bit of a Florida vacay.
This is one of those cases where it's best to reserve judgment and hold off on making any assumptions. While it's really selfish of this woman to ditch her family and her daughter during not only Thanksgiving, but a birthday, maybe there are some deep reasons as to why she did this.
Debra Miller has offered no explanation on why she hopped on a Greyhound bus and took off to Florida for nearly two weeks while the nation wondered what had happened. Hopefully if and when she offers one, it will be believable and worthy of understanding.
