November happenings and heartbreak

Quick check in. Life went nuttier than a fruit cake.

November started with a BANG! I sold Swamp Magic--the 1st of a plotted trilogy. YAY! Release date is Jan 28th 2013--so all of you who get those Kindles and Nooks for Christmas...think of me. ;)

I will post more about Swamp Magic soon, I promise.

Then my computer died.

Then, received a rejection--oh well, nothing like one being accepted to take the sting of another being rejected.

On the Monday before Thanksgiving the world crashed to a stop. My 16 yr old beautiful Niece was found dead. No sickness that anyone was aware--nothing.  Her school alarm was still going off and my brother and his wife went in to check and found her. An autopsy is being performed, but they suspect she had walking pneumonia.  She was my brothers ONLY child and HE right now. Due to financial issues, geography  and unmanageable timelines, I was unable to fly north for her memorial.

Thanksgiving I awoke sick as all get out, but it's not like one can cancel Thanksgiving, least not if you are the host house. So--in a zombie like state I pulled off the feast and now, 5 days later am still suffering the yucks of whatever this crud is. NO FEVER--just stopped up and coughy/achy.

Also, as I'm writing this my son informs me our water is coming out brow. :(

November has been extremely emotional as you can imagine, but the contest as well as possible FREE Christmas story are forthcoming.
