It isn't working and has turned the border of the U.S. and Mexico into a huge war zone. How expensive and failed is that?
At least make pot legal and let farmers grow hemp. Prohibition is really lousy against stuff that happens all over the place in nature anyway.
Pot cigarettes that are legal would bring in tax money, keep the drug dose at a standard level and make it safer as other chemicals can be kept out of it. How many people do you know have their own tobacco plants? They don't bother. The same will happen with criminals that are now growing pot in our national parks.
With meth it might be better just to keep the ingredients for it out of society in the first place so they can't make the lousy drug at all. The government did the same thing once in shutting ecstasy completely down. The pharmaceutical companies have to do a lot better in not being the cause of the problem! The U.S. could shut down meth in America instantly if the pharmaceutical companies, who seem to be more powerful than our government, would allow it.
