'50 Shades of Grey' Movie: Matt Bomer Tops Another List of Favorites

The 50 Shades of Grey movie producers might want to take note of the latest list of Christian Grey favorites voted on by fans.

Why? Because it lists many of the names that keep popping up over and over again at the top of fan polls, and if one of those names doesn't get cast, then there are going to be a lot of a disappointed women out there.

The top three contenders on the fan list for LOOK Magazine are Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, and Alexander Skarsgard.

Ian and Alexander have a few things in common - they both play vampires on TV series, and they've both said that they would be interested in playing Christian. Since Christian is based on Twilight vampire Edward Cullen, it's not surprising that actors known for playing bloodsuckers finished so far up on the list.

However, Robert Pattinson just managed to snag the tenth spot. Fans have either had enough of him as a brooding romantic lead or they know that 50 Shades of Grey author E. L. James has already said that she thinks it would be weird to cast him and Kristen Stewart in the movie.

Ian Somerhalder was the heavy favorite for a long time, but now it seems like Matt Bomer is topping more and more fan polls. Perhaps it helps that he doesn't play a vampire - women might be getting just a tad tired of the sexy, supernatural beings. They might also not be voting for Somerhalder and Skarsgard quite as much because they know it would be hard not to see them as their characters on The Vampire Diaries and True Blood.

Matt has also remained mum on if he'd be interested in starring in the movie, so perhaps his silence his making him more desirable (everyone wants what they can't have).

The fourth and fifth place finishers are Ryan Gosling and Channing Tatum, which are two very different kinds of guys. The Notebook star Ryan comes off as more of a sensitive, thoughtful type, while Magic Mike actor Channing is known for being a beefcake. One is a former Mickey Mouse Club member, and the other is a former male stripper.

Beefy guys also finish in the sixth and seventh slots, and they've both starred in superhero movies. Tom Hardy played a villain in The Dark Knight Rises, while Chris Hemsworth starred as Thor in The Avengers. Tom Hardy might have a better chance at snagging the part because he's friends with 50 Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel.

The Dark Knight himself finished ninth on the list, but while Christian Bale is great at playing filthy rich guys (he also played one in American Psycho), he's a bit too old for the role. Another Magic Mike star snagged the eighth slot, but prettyboy Alex Pettyfer is probably too young. As mentioned above, Robert Pattinson snuck in to steal the tenth slot.
