Kevin Clash, the voice and puppeteer for Elmo on Sesame Street for 27 years, has taken a leave of absence after being accused of having an inappopriate sexual relationship with a man while he was underage. Sesame Workshop, the company that produces Seasame Street, said an investigation into the matter has turned up no evidence that Kevin Clash engaged in sex with the accuser while he was a minor.
In a press statement released on Monday, Sesame Workshop explained the company had received a complaint earlier this year from a man who claimed he had a sexual relationship with Kevin Clash while he was underage.
