Donald Trump Calls for a 'Revolution'

He's just a sore, sore loser. I think he envisioned himself invited to
Romney White House dinner parties and such, and being the big man on campus.

America has changed and Republicans better get used to it. No more war on women, Blacks, Latinos, Teachers, Unions, Students and Seniors.

Trumps twitter rants were idiotic and baffling. he had not the slightest problem with GWB failing to win the popular vote in 2000. Now, he assumes (wrongly) that Obama fails to win the popular vote, and it becomes a reason to march on Washington. This guy makes Cantor look like a statesman by comparison!

I'm pretty sure that most of the people who give a damn about what Donald Trump has to say about politics would have trouble spelling the word "revolution", never mind participating in one.

Soon the dollar will be nearly worthless while America silently drifts into a third world economy. The liberal left though will be smiling...right up to the day when they wake up, and realize "there ain't no tooth fairy!"

The American dream of enterprise won't survive without free market forces, and certainly won't grow, or become sustained with more government regulation, or strong-arm union interference. Wages should be set by the employer, employees, and market forces.

Welfare has become an economic parasite that just keeps growing, and siphoning off the teet of the entire country. Free money for welfare babies is the new economy! More illegal immigrants will come, expecting to suck on the same teet that is so lavishly offered by the tree hugging, "living in a vacuum" socialists that we'll have to print more money at some point because China will simply refuse to grant anymore credit.

The balance of trade keeps getting worse, and we currently import a helluva lot more than we export. Meanwhile our jobs go overseas, and the tax based economy keeps getting weaker.

So, as we make every minority group happy we continue to hemmorage money, and take in less-all for the sole purpose of getting votes.

Four more years!

The one mostly to blame for that "Bubba" is YOU, ie the American consumer. If we didn't buy all this cheap crap from China at Wal-Mart we wouldn't be exporting our jobs over there. So buy American and quit whining about "the liberals."

You know, Romney, at least, had some class when conceding to Obama. Trump, with all his bajillions of dollars, doesn't have an iota. Money can't buy everything, that's for sure.

I was hoping this would not happen. We on the right got our butts kicked, much like those on the left did during the Bush administration and in mid-term elections during the Clinton years. Complaining about the popular vote is stupid. It did not matter in 2000 and it does not matter now. We should not be complaining about the slanted media or lies the other side told. We need to find a more appealing candidate and energize the base. Anything else is just like the whining we hear from the left when they lose.

Sven, I've always said that Republicans need to find a candidate palatable to the majority of the American electorate. That, they failed to do.

It isn't the candidate so much as the party. Romney was a poor candidate in that he had no core policy platform that you could pin down, changing his position on every issue multiple times. But worse than that are the rock solid positions of the Republican Party and especially their inbred half-brother, the Tea Party.

I know you guys like to paint Romney as a severe right-winger, but he really isn't. He is pretty moderate. So was McCain. Even Bush had some anti-conservative ideas. You know when the Republicans were the most successful? When we had a hardline conservative. Reagan was very conservative and he won huge. Twice. At some point someone is going to get the idea that we are not going to woo the moderates because the media will always portray our candidates as inflexible conservatives. The actual conservatives stick up their nose at these guys because they are not conservative enough. That is why our base does not get fired up. If we are going to be accused of being overly conservative at least we can get the votes of those who are actually on the far right. Just my take on it.

Congrats on the win. I do not think it is good for the future of this country but I only get to vote once.

The tea party gets a bad wrap. The vast majority are good people who really want small government, low taxes, and state's rights. False reports of widespread racism and a few nutty candidates really make them look bad.

No doubt in hind-sight Romney was perceived as a "Robber Baron." His platform, and ideals had flip-flopped so much that voters had trouble wrapping their heads around his values. Some of his views were extreme, and some seemed to change depending on his audience...like most politicians.

Yes, clearly the Republican Party's road map to electoral success lies in going even further to the right and appealing even more exclusively to old white dudes.

Donald Trump should stuff that wig in his mouth. He doesn't know anything about politics. He should stick to what he knows about -- chasing skirts.

Chasing skirts is not a crime! But I wouldn't be surprised if the liberal vote buyers decide to make it a crime if it would mean more votes. Anything for votes...no matter the cost!

Feed those that won't work, and invite free access to every social program to every illegal immigrant. Offer those same illegal immigrants driver's licences, free healthcare, and lets fill our classrooms with non English speaking students...and while were at it lets make English a second language.

Picking on "Donald" won't change the fact that we can't afford four more years of wreckless spending, apologizing to the world, and ignoring the fact that our foreign policy stratetgy is the worst it has ever been since we dropped the bomb on Japan.

I am certainly not a fan of Donald Trump, but I have to say that both sides of the aisle are "sore losers" when they lose. However, it is going way beyond just being sore losers. Our country is split almost exactly down the middle and we have irreconcilable differences. I don't think it's appropriate to call for a violent revolution, but I think it's fair to take a look at dividing this country. Each side wins power by such a small majority these days. The conservatives want to adhere to the Constitution as written, limit government and hold to a moral value system. The liberals want the government to ration out funds and benefits and to completely rewrite the Constitution. These two philosophies can never work together, ever. In reality, it would have to be the liberal side that breaks from the conservatives because the liberals are the ones who want to throw out the Constitution, which is, by the way, still the rule of law in this land...even if our government is taking a ton of liberties with it. And the fact is, neither side is winning by any considerable margin. Also, we are a republic, at least we're supposed to be...not a democracy. That's why the popular vote doesn't determine the winner. You can name call all you want, but conservatives are just as entitled to their opinions and beliefs as you. That's the beauty of freedom.

Jennifer, I beg to disagree. The majority of the American electorate overwhelming voted for the Democrats. President Obama won every demographic other than White males. That doesn't sound like a split down the middle to me.

I don't think liberals want to throw out the entire Constitution, nor do conservatives. I think the ONE POINT ON WHICH BOTH SIDES AGREE (imagine that!) is that it needs careful review and reform--but the point of disagreement is on which parts and what should be done with them.

Example: conservatives would like the 'right to bear arms' remain and existing restrictions removed; liberals would like at least 'adjust' those articles to tighter controls.

Perhaps when we get around to discussing why each side believes the way that they do (instead of shouting about who is right and who is wrong) we can have a meaningful dialogue that will solve problems rather than create them.

Richard, I've always wondered why the brilliant people on the Right like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Donald Trump don't run for office. Could it be they are afraid of being rejected? Could it be that sitting on the sidelines, Monday morning quarterbacking is their best option?

Only Ron Paul, Jill Stein, Stewart Alexander, Jerry White, Rosane Barr, Gary Johnson, Cindy Sheehan can save the USA. But since most people in USA still rely on mainstream news sources, we are still governed by corporate politicians. I know that Obama was the lesser evil option in these elections. And that Obama was the only choice we had right now. BUT I JUST HOPE THAT FOR THE 2016 ELECTIONS AMERICANS WAKE UP, AND AT LEAST ELECT JILL STEIN AND THE GREEN PARTY FOR PRESIDENT.

You know, I did take a quiz somewhere that came up with 'your candidate' based on what your positions were--and it wasn't based on strictly 'yes or no' answers, there were plenty of 'scale' options and even places where you could enter your own criteria/explanations.

It came up with Jill Stein as 'my' candidate--but I chose to vote against Romney this time and that meant voting for the one most likely to beat him. Very sad that I had to base my choice on odds rather than personal choice--but a Romney/Ryan ticket would have been totally disastrous.

If we ever reach the point that the popular vote directly elects the President rather than the electoral college, or that the states will be allowed to 'split' their electoral college votes according to the percentage of the popular vote, we might actually see a more accurate reflection of people voting for 'their' candidate rather than 'against' someone elses.
