This week on Survivor: Philippines, Jonathan is upset that Katie wrote his name down at the last tribal. Jeff told him that she wanted him gone.
At the Tandang camp, a boat come to shore and handed them a note. The tribes are now merging! They have 10 minutes to grab everything they can to take to their new home. Kalabaw got the same news. Everyone is thrilled. Denise says that she wants to go back to her alliance with Malcolm, if possible, while trying to quietly keep the one she made with this tribe.
A new tribe is formed as they all headed to their new home. They feasted on fruit and bread
as they all got to know each other a little better. Jeff is trying to keep any sports talk out of the conversation. Jeff and Lisa are trying hard to keep their secret safe for now.
Lisa decides to be nice and hang everyone's clothes to dry but she innocently finds Malcolm's immunity idol. He pulls her aside to see what she will do and Lisa confesses that she found the idol. Malcolm realizes that she didn't mean to find it but he is worried. He lets her into his alliance with Denise. Only the three of them know.
Jonathan asked Lisa if anyone has recognized her yet. They hit it off quite well as they talk in the water. He thinks she could get to the final three by playing under the radar. He also talks to Mike as he scrambles to make some decisions about alliances. Abi-Maria, Jeff, Malcolm, Pete and Artis gather to talk. They decide to split their vote between Jonathan and RC.
For the first individual immunity challenge, the survivors will hold onto a bar with a bucket of water attached. They will need to hold on until the bucket drops and they are out. One man and one woman will win immunity. Mike is out first, followed by Pete, Jonathan, Lisa and Malcolm. RC is next and then Abi-Maria fails, which left Denise to win that coveted necklace for the women. For the men, Artis is out, which leaves Jeff and Carter to battle it out. Jeff tries to talk Carter into letting him win. However, Carter says he wants to win and he finally did after Jeff drops his bucket. Denise and Carter are safe from the vote.
Back at camp, Mike tries strategizing with Jeff. Jeff and Carter are talking on the beach about who they are voting for when Jonathan walks up and quickly tells them that he is very loyal. Jeff tells Carter that he just doesn't want Penner to go further than he does. It pretty much comes down to those two as the deciding votes.
At tribal council, Jeff Probst mentioned that Tandang has never gone to tribal until the merge, but then pointed out that Denise has been to every single one. Abi-Maria mentioned that RC betrayed her when she unburied the clue, but RC says that she didn't do it. They also talked about the returning players and how they don't like that they are still there. It's time for the vote. When Probst asked if anyone had the immunity idol, Jonathan pulled his out to play. It was a good move because he got most of the votes. Pete's name was also written down, but RC got the second highest votes. She is the eighth person voted off and the first member of the jury.
Next week on Survivor: Philippines, Jonathan wages war on everyone now that he feels betrayed by his tribe. Stay tuned for the next episode on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
Are you happy that RC got her torch snuffed?
