The death of Whitney Heichel is a tragedy, a senseless murder with details that are shaky at best. Police are keeping mum on many of the details behind the slain woman's disappearance and murder, but there are a few new updates that have come through media headlines. First of all, the man police believe kidnapped and murdered her is not only a neighbor of her and her husband, but a member of their church as well. Jonathan Holt seemed to be steeped into more than just one aspect of Whitney's life, so is it possible that he formed a sort of obsession with her? Could it be possible that they were more than mere acquaintances?

What would drive a member of the victim's church, a fellow Jehovah's Witness, to kidnapping and murder? First of all, was it even kidnapping? He lived by her, was acquainted with her husband, attended the same church and was well aware of her daily schedule it seems. On the surface it seems as though she was the victim of a stalker, someone obsessed with her to the point of abduction and murder. However, is it possible that something else happened? Could Whitney Heichel and Jonathan Holt have had some other kind of relationship that drove the two of them to have an altercation?
There are a lot of questions to ask, but it's probably safe to say that police have asked all of these questions. They are keeping their mouths shut regarding the motive (if there is any) and any other circumstances surrounding the death of the Gresham, Oregon woman. Hopefully they open up soon, or maybe a bigger media source could cite the Freedom of Information Act to the local authorities to get some wheels greased.

Thanks for reading
You're welcome.
Where did I say that?
Your words Chelsea, it's clearly an implication. You are making a suggestion.
And, yes, I DO realize that, but the implication is that there was some association, some connection between them in which they both willingly engaged in, that led up to the kidnapping and murder. That IS what your article implied.
Not to people familiar with vocabulary.
There's no use trying to use the dictionary on her. She's obviously in her own dictionary world using words to her advantage.
Merriam-Webster good enough? This is a word that elementary school students know the definition for. Why can't you "adults" grasp it? I find that extremely sad.
What's that about a dictionary? I suggest looking at a dictionary yourself. It would eliminate the embarrassment of being publicly revealed as not knowing what very simple words mean. The word "relationship" and its definitions are actually part of grammar school curriculum for vocabulary and English -- so even most high school dropouts should know what the word means.
If not.. shame on them ;)

Other than knowing how to type, do you know anything about reporting or journalism. If you own a dictionary, look up LIBEL. Here, I'll help you out, according to Merriam-Webster Libel is "a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression." (underscore mine)
You are casting aspersions on the victim with no proof other than what you read on other media websites.
You are the worst of all internet trolls and if Gather.com has absolutely any decency, they will remove you immediately.
2. Like some other readers you've seem to mistaken "relationship" to only mean "romantic relationship." Here's a definition for you:
According to Merriam-Webster A "relationship" can be any and all of the following.
Let me help you a little further:
Jonathan was allegedly a neighbor of hers -- that is a relationship, considering the two were acquainted enough to give rides to one another.
Jonathan was a member of their church -- that is a relationship.
Jonathan was an acquaintance -- this can also be considered a relationship.
Nowhere in my post do I say that the victim is to blame for what happened to her, nor do I ever say that she had a "romantic" relationship with her killer. I asked questions that were pertinent to this case and asked what the extend of their relationship was as more details continue to come to the media.
Since you've seemed to not only mixed up the differences between blogger, journalist, reporter or commentator but appeared to mis-define "relationship", I'll just request that you pay more attention to what you are are reading.
I understand if you superficially read this and then jumped to your conclusions without thinking, as we are all guilty of this from time to time. We all make mistakes. Though try to think more before jumping to conclusions, making threats and flinging accusations -- especially when you're doing so in obvious error.
Have a great evening and thanks for reading.
Before these developments, however, many theories were possible. By "relationships" I meant ANY other situation involving how the two may know one another. Could money have been involved, drugs, theft, etc etc etc, could the two had been feuding neighbors, could they have had a falling out as friends, anything. Of course we know none of these are pertinent after the fact.
That is all that this article meant. I apologize if so many people misunderstood it.
What happened? A co-worker claimed he needed a ride. He kidnapped her & took her to his home, where he stripped, bound & gagged her before returning to work like nothing happened. My friend strangled when she attempted to slip free of the self-tightening noose her co-worker left around her neck.
It was a shock to the other co-workers to learn he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl. He also kidnapped and raped his 15-year-old sister-in-law. Community notification of the release of sex offenders from incarceration did not occur where I live until 1997.
There were cynicists who speculated there was a relationship between my friend & the co-worker. The only relationship was that he was her co-worker. Most of us do not start out our day anticipating being murdered by a co-worker or neighbor.
so by your logic only immoral girls are orally raped
When you have a gun pointed at you and you actually want to LIVE, you do pretty much whatever you're told. At least then there's a small chance you won't be shot to death and discarded in the wilderness. Though sometimes even that doesn't matter.
Here, I suggest reading this. A woman who survived a pretty horrific ordeal shared her experience being forced to perform oral sex on her captor. It's graphic, it's horrific, and it might just change your mind on whether or not oral rape "adds up."
anyway thanks for reading...
Thanks for listening.
