Robert Pattinson admits in a recent interview that he's completely okay—even happy—with leaving behind The Twilight Saga that made him a household name.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, even though Rob is excited about the upcoming première of Breaking Dawn Part 2, he says he won't even miss making the films.
"There's something incredibly familiar about it where you know everyone, which is the antithesis of what you normally have on a movie set. When you know people—it's pretty nice. But then again, one of the greatest things about acting is that you can leave everybody behind," he says.
Rob recalls some of the memories from the series of films that make up a bank of fond memories he'll likely have for life.
"In the first one when Bella is in the hospital and she says, 'Don't ever leave me again,' and I say 'Where am I going to go?' I still think that is my favorite scene, maybe because we made up the lines. In every film afterwards, that was unheard of. Everyone was so militant, like, 'It has to be from the book.' The hardest? Probably the birth scene—mainly because it was hilarious and it was supposed to be serious. There was one shot where I had to chew the baby out, and I'm not supposed to be able to cry as a vampire, but I am crying because I was laughing so much," he says.
Does it sound to you like Robert Pattinson is being completely truthful when he claims he's okay with leaving Twilight behind? While relaying his memories a sense of poignancy seems to trickle throughout those fond recollections. Did you sense that, too?
Rob—as well as Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz and more—spent years of their lives ensconced in the characters and scenes that culminate with Breaking Dawn Part 2. How could they all not leave small pieces of their hearts behind when it ends?
