Hey Paul Ryan, Eggs Don't Vote! Women Do!

During the debate, Paul Ryan said "Now, I understand this is a difficult issue, and I respect people who don't agree with me on this, but the policy of a Romney administration will be to oppose abortion with the exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother." Why, why, WHY would anybody believe Paul Ryan when he says such a thing, when he has co-sponsored a federal "personhood" bill that would not only ban abortion without exception, but would also ban many kinds of contraception and IVF? If you believe that women have the right to make health care decisions for themselves, including decisions about abortion, contraception, and infirtility treatment,

How many serial killers, junkies, gangbangers, rapists, murderers, kidnappers, Pol Pots, Stalins, insane people, profoundly defective people have we lost since abortion became the law of the land?

What we do know for a fact is that there are fewer abortions performed when they are legal than are performed when they are illegal.

It's not Ryan administration. It's not that hard to get.

What is hard to get is why it is right to use the coercive power of government to force others to pay for such procedures when their religious beliefs stand counter to them? Answer that please when you come down from your mountain of feigned outrage.

Mitt Romney is on the record saying that he'd nominate Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe v Wade. He's on record saying that if he'd been been presented with a "personhood" amendment to the state constitution while he was governor, he would've supported it, and that he'd support a federal "personhood" amendment. He's also on the record opposing embryonic stem-cell research.

Maybe Mitt will flip-flop a few more times on those issues, but I don't think voters, especially women, should take that chance.

Mitt Romney is anti-choice, just like Paul Ryan. Mitt Romney wants to ban all abortion, and contraception, IVF treatment and stem-cell research just like Paul Ryan.

Why is it right to use the coercive power of government to force women to conform to someone elses religious beliefs in a country where our constitution guarantees each and every one of us the right to practice our own religion?
