The one thing Paul Ryan did wrong in the debate with Joe Biden

You know what one thing Paul Ryan did wrong in the debate?  He should have asked the Vice President what was funny.  He should have told Biden that Americans don't find the embassy killing funny, nor the lack of jobs, nor having our health care taken over by the government.  We don't find the lies of the Obama administration to be funny.

"what was funny" WOULD have been the best question Ryan could have asked. It would have changed the entire "debate". Joe could have turned on his "caring" voice. We've all heard it. The leftists have mastered it.

I can't understand why Ryan did not say anything either. Boy I sure was from my couch! Laughing AT someone is the biggest insult you give. I am wondering if Ryan had asked the question if the end result would have been the same. People's attention is turning toward Ryan. Biden made Ryan look more masterful and himself less of a man, and more like the green monster.

The lefts strategy turned sour. Biden will forever be remembered as the mean old starky has been badgering an up and coming brilliant young polititian.
Masters at baiting to try to make people lose their cool...................

Mick that is exactly what Biden was doing. However, Ryan maintained his cool and good for him!! So after all Biden did not accomplish what he set out to do. Ryan out-classed the libs!!!!

I'm glad that Ryan DID keep his cool and stayed respectful to his obnoxious opponent and respectful for the debate process. You're right Nikita, he showed a lot of class.

Agree with all of the above comments. Paul Ryan showed his character, as did Joe 'Big Bird' Biden. There is nothing going on in this country at which anyone should laugh.

It was disrespectful to all Americans, is the way I felt. And Biden's answers were mostly nonsense. He'd say a linage of garbage and I'd just scratch my head and wonder what he just said!

Ryan tried to score some points but neither Joe or the moderator would have no part of it.

He showed extreme constraint thus showed everyone he was the only adult at that debate table.

I agree, Linda. One could tell by his answers that he had rehearsed and sometimes what he said made no sense in responding to Ryan.

Yes, I couldnt believe that Ryan didnt say something about the rudeness... It was also, a disrespect to the people watching and trying to listen to what was being said... He(Bumblin'Boob Biden) wanted to be heard but he didnt want Ryan to be heard... This just proves those double standards, lack of freedom of speech for the other side, this side(left) just shows their ignorance...

It seems to me that by allowing Joe to blather and behave as he did, Paul Ryan took the high road. Ryan did not allow Biden to bait him into a response that the media would have latched onto an excoriated Ryan with.

And what Joe said in many instances was quite shocking, especially with the Libyan debacle and the Iran nuclear bomb prospect.

Sometimes allowing your opponents to run off a cliff is better than going down that road with them.

Still, a well timed insertion of "What's so funny???" would have scored, IMHO. Hindsight is always 20/20, though, and he did definitely take the high road!

i agree with Marilyn here - didn't think of it, but in his closing statement, since he went last (which is always good), he could have mentioned Biden's laughing at serious issues was no laughing matter to all those who have suffered under Obama' rule...

Excellent point Marilyn! Biden is the definition of Buffoon. He is rude, obnoxious and without even a drop of class or dignity. My 94 year old aunt was so appalled by his behavior she asked my son to take her to vote so she can vote against Obama and Ryan. That is one vote that wouldn't have been cast if Biden hadn't behaved as such a jerk. She wasn't planning on going to the poll's this year because she felt it may be to much for her. Joe changed her mind.

There is absolute NO comparison to Romney's strength and Biden's obnoxiousness. Seriously. Just look at the tapes. When Ryan was responding, Biden was guffawing. He was rude and the worst thing I have ever seen in any politician. I cannot believe ANYONE would defend him.

Romney was presidential.

Biden acted like he needs to be put in a mental institution.

Good Morning everybody this is really too early for me to think but I will try real hard. :o))

This is what I see here at gather. There is one person who seems to control the entire mass and populace on the left. As I read comments I can see an "idol" worship going on and attempts to "please" their leader. A "groupie thingy" going on. Not in defense of, but in support of anyone who feels the need to" follow the leader. " think on your own, no one knows anyone in reality on these social sites and you ain't gonna get a bouquet of yellow roses. (wink wink
