Rumor has it that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been ordered to reconcile by their bosses, Summit Entertainment. Of course, there's no way to tell whether the rumor's true. However, if it is true, that would explain some of the more bizarre aspects of Rob's and Kristen's behavior while they pursue their reconciliation.
According to Renier Palland at Celeb Dirty Laundry, the imminent release of Breaking Dawn Part Two has required Summit to ignite a "re-firing" of Rob's and Kristen's pre-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal chemistry. And if they can't actually work things out, then they have to pretend. They are, after all, actors. If they can act like vampires, they can certainly act like they're still in love. Actually, they have no choice. They have to reconcile because they're "contractually obligated" to do so. Disobedience will place their careers in serious jeopardy. It could also leave them wide open for expensive lawsuits because their contracts require them to do "PR and promotion of Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2." Since the Twilight fan base equates Bella and Edward with Robsten, Pattinson and Stewart cannot effectively accomplish their promotional tasks unless they appear to be, once again, a loving couple.
That's all very neat, but is it true?
It's very possible. It would certainly explain some of the more bizarre rumors ricocheting around the web. The fact that they still haven't been seen together anywhere, despite the fact that they're reportedly moving in together is a prime example. Ditto for the rumors that Kristen has dissed Rob's sexual performance and has reportedly confided to friends that they're not really getting back together. Ouch. On the other hand, she recently landed at LAX wearing his $40,000 locket. And then there's Robert Pattinson's bizarre decision to take La Stewart back on a one month trial basis. Isn't one month just about the time it will take to finish the Breaking Dawn Part Two promotions?
Yikes. Maybe Stephen Colbert was right.
Alas, Twihards, only time will tell. In the meantime, what do you think?
