One of my current bzzagent.com campaigns is for Progresso recipe starter Cooking Sauce.
I rec'd a can of the flavor Creamy Roasted Garlic Sauce. We chose to make turkey pot pie and I will talk about that later in my review. First let me tell you about the product itself.
Progresso recipe starters Cooking Sauces come in 5 delicious flavors to choose from:
Creamy Parmesan Basil Sauce
Creamy Three Cheese Sauce
Creamy Portabella Mushroom Sauce
Creamy Roasted Garlic Sauce
Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce
30 minutes and a can of Progresso recipe starters is all you need for an amazing meal with a culinary touch.
Available in the soup aisle at the Kroger Company Family of Stores.
Each can includes a recipe printed on the can. For a month's worth of inspiration you can scan the QR code on the can, or visit http://www.Progresso.com/Recipe-Starters. You will find 6 recipes for each variety...or you can make up your own.
Retail price per can is $2.49. Our Kroger store has had them on sale for some time for $1.99 per can. There have been .50 coupons in the Sunday papers, and I was sent .75 coupons to share in my bzz kit. We have double coupons here which will only make them .99 a can. I do plan to buy several!
Now on to my review. As stated just above, I do plan on stocking up with several cans in our cabinet. They are that good. At least the Creamy Garlic Sauce that I received in my bzz kit was!
The recipe on my can was for chicken pot pie. Jasmine (my daughter) can not stand frozen pot pie, but she does love it fresh baked. We had just enough cubed turkey left over in the freezer so we made it turkey pot pie instead of chicken.
It was quick, easy and delicious! There were no leftovers and just the 3 of us eating this night.
Here is a picture of our pot pie fresh out of the oven, along with the label from the can:
I hope you all will give it a try. Have you already tried the new Progresso recipe starters? If so, which did you try and what did you make?
