Selena Gomez is growing up. And why shouldn't she? After all, unlike her light of love, Justin Bieber, she's no longer a teen. She's a full-fledged twenty year old adult. And, judging by the gist of her latest interview, her on-screen persona has grown up as well. In a recent interview, the former Disney darling dished on her new film, Feed The Dog, and why it's different from her earlier movies. Needless to say, it's very different from The Wizards of Waverly Place, the long running Disney Channel T.V. series that made her famous.
"It's a little edgy, a little dark," explained Selena. "I've been saying it's a dark comedy, it's more of a comedy, but there's a little bit of sexual stuff in it."
Sexual stuff? Yikes. What will Justin Bieber say? Actually, her "Boyfriend" will probably love it. He's been known to get a tad risqué himself--especially on Twitter. And he'd probably approve of the fact that Selena is pushing the envelope a bit and "breaking out of that [Disney] mold." That pattern of testing the adult waters began with her Toronto Film Festival nominated movie, Spring Breakers, and it's apparently continuing with Feed The Dog.
So, there you have it. Do you like the new Selena Gomez? Or do you prefer her more Disney-esque image?
