Newsweek did what?

I found this to be very interesting! I pray the right decisions to be made concerning our country. I generally do not get involved in political discussions, so I figure prayer is best.

I think they have learned the MSNBC lesson, that if you trade mainly on an openly Socialist slant, you won't appeal to a very big audience even today. MSNBC has had to resort to salacious "sex trafficking" specials to stay in business. Newsweek may be experimenting with the successful Fox News formula and trying to pull in a broader audience with a more net centrist approach.

Then there is the conspiracy theory* that, like Fox News, they may begin with a more clearly Christian Capitalist Constitutionalist view, and then subtly and gradually slide left to Socialism, hoping to convert the conservatives and Libertarians like they have so many already, by slipping in more and more pro-big government messages without being obvious about it.

*We all know that historically there is no such thing as a conspiracy. Well except for the one against Julius Caesar...and the South Sea Bubble scheme...and Lincoln';s assassination...and the 1869 "Gold Conspiracy"...and the Czar Alexander III assassination...and the Hunt Brothers silver market scheme of 1980...and the World Trade Center attacks...and...

You make a good point. They could very well be trying to hook Christian Capitalist Constitutionalists only to revert to the typical MSM liberal/progressive news reporting.

Newsweek is trying to stay afloat. They finally realize that there are more Conservatives then Left wing wacko's in America.

And most likely more who actually buy magazines. :)
