More on our study on the Book of Esther

Esther was an awesome lady! She was an orphan and raised by her cousin, Mordecai. She found favor from Hegai the eunuch that was taking care of the girls in the "harem" awaiting to go before the King.  She found favor in the eyes of the king, himself!

She was chosen as Queen but she still stayed faithful to her cousin, Mordecai which has raised her. She had not yet told anyone she was a Jew. She had to go before the king taking the chance that if he did not want to see her it would be "off with her head!"

What a decision to make.  She was going to die if they executed all the Jews or she would die if the King did not wish to see her but God showed favor on her and the king did want to see her.

Along with this study I am reading a book on Esther and the Book of Esther is the only book that God is not mentioned in the entire Bible. The author of the book suggests that at times, like Esther has felt so far, that God was not there with her that she was all alone so we feel this way also at times but God is all over the book of Esther in the essence that favor is being shown to Esther and Mordecai in many ways.
