Bones season 8 is going to be bringing in a new character in Sweets' life, a character who has been teased for some time now as a possible new love interest, and episode 3, "The Gunk in the Garage," for which Fox has released the official description and photos.
Season 8 Episode 3 "The Gunk in the Garage" Official Description and Promotional Photos
"After an explosion occurs in a hotel garage, the Jeffersonian team must research the remains found at the crime scene in order to match them to the victim. The investigation only gets trickier when they discover that the man whom they thought was dead is actually alive. Meanwhile, Booth has to take on a desk assignment to get the department's budget approved in order to land a promotion, so Sweets is given a temporary partner, FBI Special Agent Olivia Sparling (guest star Danielle Panabaker)."
Hart Hanson had told Gather.com that Sweets' "relationship with Daisy and the new FBI agent [is] a pointy little triangle with everything that suggests." Two of the photos out do show Sweets and Olivia working together. Will they be a good match, professionally at least? Could it be because they work so well together that the "pointy little triangle" develops?

Meanwhile, Booth may have a desk assignment in this episode, but the photos show him in the field during this episode as well. Will he get the promotion he's hoping for? What will he think of Sweets' temporary partner? There's just something wrong about seeing Booth stuck behind a desk (like he was in the premiere), even if it is for a good reason (like a possible promotion), so it's good to see him back in the field.

The final two photos from this Bones season 8 episode show Brennan and Hodgins investigating the victim's remains after the explosion. This kind of murder seems like just the one that would lead to a pretty gross crime scene. Would you expect anything else from an episode with "Gunk" in the title?
