Most of you know that I write a money-saving blog for Boca Raton Magazine and The Examiner.com. Lately it's been a little more sporadic due to time constraints. But, I was able to get one done today! :)

Budget? I can't get hubby to tell me what he spends each day, let alone BUDGE to make a budget!
He and his money spending is really making me insane.

It would be so much easier to make a budget if my hubby actually made the same amount each week, but as a long-haul truck driver, he might bring home $50 or he might bring home $500. I just never know.

I use Quicken to track my expenses such as utilities, insurance etc., I set up a bank account just for monthly bills like the house payment, insurance, and utilities. A set amount is direct deposited every payday to ensure the bills are covered. Groceries, personal things like haircuts and clothing come out of the other account. Then I don't have to worry if I'm spending money I'll need next month for bills.
