Once Upon a Time returns at the end of the month, and while magic has come to Storybrooke and the curse has been broken, the trouble isn't over. Some things haven't changed, which some of the characters will learn in the second episode, airing October 7.
OUaT Season 2 Episode 2 "We Are Both" Official Description
"While Regina continues to find a way to regain her magical powers, David continues his quest to uncover the whereabouts of Mary Margaret and Emma; and the seven dwarves discover what happens when any of the townspeople try to step past the city limits of Storybrooke. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, as her wedding day to King Leopold approaches, Regina is confronted by a man of magic who promises to help her become independent and break free from her mother Cora's (Barbara Hershey) clutches."
Just because the curse has been lifted, it turns out that doesn't mean they can leave Storybrooke. They're still stuck in that town, only now with the knowledge of who they are. Could this end tragically for one of the dwarves trying to leave? They won't have Snow White to help them out, so could someone else come to their aid? Could Belle help them now that she's back, or will she be too busy with Rumplestiltskin since they've been reunited?
This Once Upon a Time season 2 episode description also reveals a spoiler about the premiere: something happens to Emma and Mary Margaret. Where will they end up? Storybrooke isn't exactly that big, but could Regina find a way to hide them away somewhere in the town? Considering no one can leave Storybrooke, could they end up in fairytale land somehow? It would be good to see Emma in fairytale land, no matter how brief that may be.
Finally, it sounds like the fairytale land story for Regina is going to be one that really helps to understand her in the present and what led to everything that has happened. Is that "man of magic" Rumplestiltskin? Who else could it be?
