Anti-Islam Film "Innocence of Muslims" Actress Claims Director Lied

Lily Dionne, an actress from California, is one of a cast of 79 people for the now-infamous low-budget Anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims" (originally titled "Desert Warrior") that is at the center of a turbulent uprising against the United States and Western interests around the world in recent weeks. The film, created by federally convicted felon Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, not only paints the character of the Islam prophet Mohammed in a bad light, but does so with reckless abandon that most can only characterize as pure hate, Anti-Muslim rhetoric. Once the film trailer hit the web and became viral via social media, there were multiple violent protests against US embassies and installations in multiple countries throughout the Middle East. The most notable attack was sustained by the US Embassy in Libya, where U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in response to the film.

So, once Ms. Dionne saw the news coverage of the attacks, and watched the movie she was told was a "historical Arabian Desert adventure film" in which she had a part in after responding to an ad on Craigslist (them again?!), she felt sick. Dionne, and other cast members including Cindy Lee Garcia and Anna Gurji, all claim that Nakoula "tricked" them into participating in "Innocence of Muslims" by using lies, out-of-context dubbing, video editing, and vague details about the script. Dionne refuses to go into hiding because she feels that she has done nothing wrong and has no reason to hide. In light of recent events, it seems the only people in real danger are the ones who had nothing to do with the film at all, and that is quite chilling.
