Former royal Sarah Ferguson has weighed in on Kate Middleton's topless photo scandal, and sympathizes completely with the Duchess of Cambridge.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Fergie knows all too well how it feels to be part of a public scandal. She, too, was photographed topless twenty years ago, and those photos hit the media.
"I have been there and know what it's like," the Duchess of York, 52,said in a recent interview. "Everyone is entitled to privacy. It is a devastating invasion of one's personal inner space. It is deplorable, abhorrent and despicable."
Fergie's embarrassment went even further, when she was photographed in 1992 having her toes sucked poolside by an American businessman.
Kate Middleton's topless photos were taken when she and Prince William were vacationing at what they believed was a private retreat. A huge invasion of their privacy took place when the paparazzi shot the photos.
Kudos to Sarah Ferguson for reaching out in compassion and sympathy to Kate Middleton during this embarrassing topless photo scandal. As Fergie knows, this, too, will pass. Hopefully Kate keeps that at the forefront of her mind in the coming days.
