Missed the Mark? I Don't Think So.

Here is an update on my previous Gather Essential Post,http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981551053. Even though my membership lapsed at the Museum I am still receiving donation requests and event flyers. In the last brochure, to my surprise, I found that the exact dates of the “Polish Heritage Exhibition” that I had worked a bit on had been replaced. Is it the same exhibition by a different researcher? Hell no ! It is an exhibition of stories and events in the lives of the inhabitants of one of the most elite retirement communities in town. Turns out it is their 40^th

Anniversary. What a marketing slam dunk for both facilities! In fact just today I got my invitation to the community’s open house which for a fee includes admission to the exhibit.

Now the question remains. Had I continued to work my butt off for the Polish Heritage Exhibition would the 40^th Anniversary have taken second place? I

think you and I both know the answer to that one.
