One Direction's Niall Horan can't fit women into his present lifestyle. He claims he doesn't have the time and a girlfriend would only complicate things.
According to a report from GulfNews.com, even though rumors still run rampant that Horan and The X Factor judge and Give Your Heart A Break singer Demi Lovato are a couple—it's not true. And now the boy band heart-throb tells the p
ublic why.
"I try to go and see my friends but that's easier to do than go out with a girlfriend. I couldn't be bothered, and it's pure laziness on my part. Travelling around the world and all the promo that we do — it doesn't leave time for a girlfriend. It really doesn't," Niall says.
Now the laziness part might be true. Otherwise how would One Direction band mates Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik have such success with fairly long-term relationships? Louis and Eleanor Calder's relationship withstands his busy schedule and hers as a college student. Zayn and Perrie Edwards do just fine, and she's in a band, too.
Is Niall Horan just not ready to have a girlfriend? Is that why he's shying away from a relationship right now? Or is he simply overwhelmed by the success he and his One Direction band mates—Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik—have reveled in for a year now, and can't see beyond the excitement?
Whatever the real reason is, it doesn't seem like laziness is part of Niall's life. If he needs the down time to simply hang with his guy friends, that's great. But no one who maintains the grueling schedule of One Directon qualifies as lazy.
Give yourself (and maybe your heart!) a break, Niall!
