...Until the year that New Orleans was hit; which is a start of a new bad hurricane season.
...The last really bad year for snow, when it stayed on the ground for at least 6 weeks across most of the USA was the winter of 1968/1969.\
...We have had some really bad snow and ice storms, but not a really bad winter since 1968/1969.
...At the news article, it shows what the jet stream will look like this coming year.
