A loyal dog, a German Shepherd named Capitan, has lain by his master's grave in an Argentinian cemetery for six years and refuses to leave it.
The incredible story began in 2006 when Miguel Guzman, Capitan's master, died suddenly after giving the pet to his son in the rural town of Villa Carlos Paz in central Argentina.
After the family gathered in the town for the funeral, they found Capitan had run away. It wasn't until they returned to the elder Guzman's grave the following week that they found the German Shepherd had somehow found his master's burial plot and refused to be drawn away.

Since then, the incredibly faithful pet has lived in the cemetery, rarely leaving his master's side and sleeping on his master's grave every night.
Local residents have taken to feeding Capitan and have given up on efforts to get the animal to leave.
The story recalls similar tales told in the last few years, but none have gone on this long.
Inevitably, fans of the animated series Futurama have drawn comparisons to an all-time favorite episode, "Jurassic Bark" in which Seymour, Fry's loyal dog waits outside a restaurant until he takes his last breath.
A video of that ending is attached here.
It's not the best quality, but the heartbreaking sentiment is clear:
"If it takes forever, I will wait for you..."
