Another so-called "zombie" attack has occurred, this time in the Poconos area of Pa. as police arrested a local man accused of rampaging, naked, dazed and screaming incoherently through a quiet neighborhood in Honesdale.
Richard Cimino Jr., 20, of Doylestown, was spotted nearly naked and babbling like a lunatic by a resident of Honesdale after trying to break into the stranger's home.
After being chased away, Cimino broke into an abandoned home and jumped out a second-floor window.
It was then that the suspect, covered in his own blood, ran into two women walking down the street. According to police, Cimino assaulted them and "began to gnaw" on one of their heads.
Soon after he was subdued and arrested, but not before assaulting a policeman and an EMT. Cimino was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center-Scranton for treatment of his injuries.
It's not known if Cimino was under the influence of drugs, or had ingested some infamous bath salts blamed on the recent "zombie" attack in Miami.
It's frightening to think a person can be turned into a lunatic, capable of assaulting people, even trying to eat their brains, because of something like bath salts. In Pennsylvania, the product has been completely banned.
Obviously, not in time for this man.
