Camara Mary Elaine Prejean could be in danger, but she's been missing for so long it may just be too late. She was last in contact with her mother on May 26, 2012 on a Facebook chat applet. That was the very last day her account showed activity -- and the very last day she was in contact with friends and family. Where could this beautiful 20-year-old woman be, and what could be causing her to not be active on her social networking profiles or social with her family?
Camara Prejean (or Mary Elaine Prejean) moved from the state of Texas to Pennsylvania with a boyfriend. She reportedly has no friends or family in the state of Pennsylvania and it is out of the ordinary for her to not be in contact with her family. Considering she is in a new place where she doesn't know people, it would only make sense for her to constantly be in contact with familiar faces and voices. So it's extremely strange for her accounts to be inactive.
There aren't any published details about this young woman's boyfriend, which is perplexing. What's this man's name? What kind of person is he? Why did she need to relocate to PA to be with him? The limited info in this case makes it hard to consider the possibilities in her disappearance. There are a lot of bad things that can happen to women when they travel from place to place and when they leave their families to venture out to their own lives. There are also a lot of wonderful things. It's important to have even a tiny bit of hope that this missing woman is having fun somewhere oblivious to her family. Maybe then she'd see herself being discussed in the news and she might come forward.
Statistically, on the other hand, the scenario most likely will not end that positively. It's been since May that this young woman had contact with loved ones. The most vital window of time for finding missing people alive has long passed, and even though there should always be a small bit of hope, it just seems like this case never stood a chance if it's being reported on so long after the fact. Here's to hoping this doesn't become a cold case and the family finds the answers they seek.
