And who said Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is harmless? Now RuPaul has chimed in, claiming little Alana Thompson "understands what drag is," and that the two should do a duet together. How does Mama June Shannon feel about this opportunity?
According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, the star of the Toddlers and Tiaras spinoff, Thompson has really received an invitation to perform with RuPaul. Can you imagine what kind of performance this might be?
The drag queen wants Thompson "to be my partner," he says. "I love anybody who dances to the beat of a different drummer."
Thompson certainly dances to the beat of a different drummer all right--namely the redneck sound of Daddy Sugar Bear and Mama June running at the mouths and the constant flow of stupidity that gushes from them.
What is RuPaul thinking? What is TLC thinking? How can anyone exploit a child for this sort of sick entertainment? Isn't it bad enough that Alana Thompson competes in all these little girl beauty pageants--having beliefs instilled in her that are unhealthy and hurtful? Now a drag queen wants to do a duet with her?
RuPaul maintains that these pageants enrich Thompson.
"She is the queen. She understands what drag is. That's what pageants are. That's why pageants are so lovely," he said.
How do you feel about this? Do you think June Shannon will allow Honey Boo Boo to perform with RuPaul? Will the performance find its way on to an episode of the reality show?
Can a TV show possibly stoop any lower?
