Fans of Emily and Jef from The Bachelorette have been thrilled to see them do so well post-show, and this week a handful of them decided to do something to show their support. What started out as a long-term effort to fund one well as a wedding gift has taken off and accomplished something nobody expected. Within only about 36 hours, three wells have been funded in honor of Emily Maynard and Jef Holm, and nobody is more surprised than The Bachelorette stars themselves.

Tuesday night the project began. A fundraising page was set-up at Generosity Water, the partner organization to Jef Holm's for-profit company People Water. The "Team Jem Project" set a goal to raise $4,000 over the next six months. This would be enough to build one well in a disadvantaged area, and the organizers hoped that six months would be enough time to achieve the goal. Little did they know just how this would take-off.
Wednesday night the fund blew up with donations. Jef Holm found out about it and tweeted, "Just saw this, had no idea! So awesome!! @sophienette Help us at #TeamJEM build a well with Generosity Water" and the link was included. Donations have been flooding in, and the organizers have raised the goal several times.
By Thursday morning, three entire wells have been funded thanks to "Team Jem" supporters. This means that wells will be donated in honor of Emily Maynard, Jef Holm and Emily's daughter Ricki Hendrick, and it all happened in just 36 hours. Now the goal has been raised to $20,000 which would fund five wells. Do Emily and Jef's fans have that much dedication and support to make it happen? One thing is certain, and that's that the folks behind this "wedding gift" idea cannot wait to see just how successful this becomes.
Emily Maynard and Jef Holm have weathered their fair share of tabloid storms over the past few weeks, but there is no doubt they can feel the love this week. Head on over to the fundraising page to donate or follow the progress of this The Bachelorette fan campaign for yourself.
