In this special episode of "Counting Cars" Danny and Shannon honor fallen troops with a custom-made patriotic motorcycle.
While out cruisin' for cars Danny and Kevin spot a 1973 Satellite parked outside a house. Danny likes it but Kevin says it's too beat up and will take too much work to fix. Danny knocks on the door and talks to the owner, Ryan, about the car.
Ryan says that the car runs well but it needs a lot of body work and yes, he is willing to sell it. Danny offers $3,000 but Ryan wants $4,000. They agree to $3,000 when Danny says he'll pay Ryan in hundred-dollar bills. Danny is sure that once it's fixed up he can sell it for $20,000.
Back at the shop Shannon is with a man, Jeff, who wants to have a motorcycle custom-built. They tell Danny all about it. This is going to be an American-themed bike. Jeff will name it the "We The People Bike."
The bike has to be candy red with a flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Constitution on it. The bike will be a tribute to the sacrifices made by our troops. Danny says this bike will be a real challenge.
Back out cruisin' for cars Kevin and Danny see a 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo. They ask Dean, the owner, if they can look at it. It's a first generation, considered a luxury muscle car, and it moves fast.
Danny offers Dean $5,000 but Dean wants more. The two can't make a deal but Danny invites him to the shop where they can talk about it some more.
Horny Mike and Danny need to find the perfect seat for the "We The People Bike." They go to Steve who custom makes leather seats for motorcycles. Steve is thrilled that his seat will be part of this iconic bike. He's going to etch a helmet, a rifle, and a pair of boots into the leather seat. These three items show respect and honor to the troops. Danny loves it even though it will cut his profit margin down by $900.
Alex comes into the shop hoping that he might buy the 1973 Satellite. Danny and the crew turned it into a beautiful purple car and Alex wants it. Unfortunately, Danny can't sell it for less than $17,000 and Alex can't afford to spend that much.
Jeff comes in to pick up his "We The People Bike." It's exactly what he wanted. It's patriotic and tells the world how much respect he has for his country and the troops. The Constitution, the flag, and the Statue of Liberty are all painted on the bike.
When Steve made the leather seat he engraved the words, "Never Forget" on it.
"Counting Cars" will be gone for a few weeks but Danny and the guys will return on September 18 with more episodes.
