Such a happy, happy day for me
and my hammer
You see, today I gave up
and I caused quite a clamor
I took to the keyboard with all of my might
and now my computer is nowhere in sight
But now a shiny piece of metal
for me to adoringly curse at
A focal point of interest
for when my mind went splat
Because of all the days my computer went dead
When all I could see was the color red
But now me and my metal;
happy as can be
It’s only pencil and paper
forever for me

SO... this week, write up to 100 words about what you would do if your computer/laptop were suddenly converted to a lifeless hunk of plastic and metal. (Burning smell optional.)
Also optional, these words: despair, gloom, hermit, Twix, or mollycoddle.

boy so many times I wanted to make this poem a reality John. I've given up on computers and do most everything by cellphone. i guess at the end, it's the same thing though.
Happy Labor Day!
Happy Labor Day to you as well.
I share your frustration, Priya, but my hammer wants to smash my Internet connection.
By the grace of God, my internet connection is smashingingly good!

My favorite here is the phrase "to adoringly curse at" -- because it's true. The things we love always make us the angriest!
Tracy, when are you going to write for my group. It's the only fair thing to do. Im doing my next prompt with you in mind and expect you to write me something in 50 words!
Fun read, Priya.
