A New Jersey teenager was on a double decker party bus. They left New York crossed the George Washington Bridge, and went under an overpass. At that time, the 16-year-old opened the hatch on the bus, and stuck his head out hitting the overpass with his head, killing him.
The rest of the teens were fine physically but emotionally they were messed up.
According to NBC, "As the bus exited the upper level to head toward Interstate 95, the boy opened the top hatch of the bus and stuck his head out, Della Fave said. His head struck the underside of the Fletcher Avenue overpass, causing extreme trauma."
Just a case where a teen was being silly, and he paid the ultimate price. I like when my teen just stays home. That is about the only way to assure their safety. Of course that is not reasonable, and this was just a sad tragedy. My sincere condolences go to the family of the teen, and to the children who witnessed the event.
