A botched abortion is typically described as a late term abortion in which the child survives. It can also mean an abortion that "goes wrong," resulting in harm, or even death to the mother, such as in the recent tragic case of Tonya Reaves.
President Obama has a long history of supporting abortion, but how does he feel about those cases where the baby survives abortion? As the Democratic National Committee takes place next week, the list of speakers includes the President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund Cecile Richards, who recently labeled presidential hopeful Mitt Romney as an "extremist" on abortion. Mitt Romney is Pro-life, as are most Americans based on a recent Gallup Poll that reveals that "pro-choice" Americans are at a record low of 41%.
Carol Brown from the American Thinker asks, "A living newborn baby is found abandoned. What would you do?" She surmises that most people would do anything they could to help the child. President Obama's record is clear on the issue, he supports partial birth abortion and the "woman's right to choose" even if the child survives an abortion.
If the child survives an abortion, how would killing it be anything other than infanticide?
President Obama was the "only Illinois senator who rose to speak against a bill that would have protected babies who survived late term labor-induced abortion" and he also "voted against SB 230, a bill designed to prevent partial-birth abortions." Would most Americans vote the same way President Obama voted on these issues?
Mitt Romney's pro-life view is a view consistent with most Americans. But for Cecile Richards, speaker at the DNC, Romney is considered to be an extremist. Conversely, President Obama's view, that a child can be killed even if he or she survives an abortion is considered to be...what? mainstream?
President Obama's view is the "extreme" position regarding abortion.
Brown reports,
"President Obama thinks children born alive after a botched abortion should be left to die. Or maybe worse. He leaves the door open for a doctor to determine how best to honor the mother's wishes. Does this mean the doctor should actively kill the newborn who is now living outside the mother's womb?"
Mark Levin discusses Obama's views on abortion and plays audio of the president himself discussing the abortion bill.

I heard about Obama's stand on this when he was still a Senator, and I knew then that I would probably never agree with him much about anything. I was right.
No, it's not, and shame on you for stating this!!! A botched abortion~I'll tell you what it really is...My best friend in high school had an abortion in the late '60's. It was illegal then, and it was BOTCHED! She was rushed to the hospital for an emergency D & C. After that, it was all over the HS, rumors, AND, a scandal because it involved the police chief. I was her BF, and she thanked me for years for sticking by her! So all you anti-abortionists, shove it & SHUT UP!!!
Apparently dark times cannot be so easily legislated away.
