The final theater poster for the January 4 release of Texas Chainsaw 3D has been scooped by Fangoria and it's a fitting tribute to the seven earlier incarnations of the gory, kinda true story, about a bunch of backwoods butchers who prey on unsuspecting nature lovers.
The story picks up where the original left off, which is a new approach. Nothing beats the first movie, a classic of jump scares and slowly building malevolent evil. But they do keep trying.

This one has a good shot at the title. What could be better than Leatherface lopping off heads in 3D?
It's a safe bet that special effects will rule, now that CGI makes "real" more real than ever.
The team on Texas Chainsaw 3D has been completely revamped a few times, but what's the difference? If the film gets bogged down in a lot of back story or emotional entanglements, it'll just spoil the mood.
If the poster is any indication, it looks like this may be the best link in the chain(saw) since the original.
