Is Niall Horan of One Direction an alcoholic? That's what the British tabloids say, and they're privy to his repertoire of recent drinking binges. Even Niall's dad expressed recent concern.
According to a report from Irish Central, sources close to the What Makes You Beautiful singer says the reports are false.
"It's complete bulls***," a source says. "As if members of his family would even talk a 
bout something like that if it were true. It's all rubbish. Niall has his head well screwed on."
Head screwed on or not--alcoholism doesn't discriminate. It can affect those with their heads screwed on and those with no mind at all. It impacts families of great wealth and those with nothing. No one is immune from this disease.
Hopefully One Direction band mates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik keep their collective eyes on Niall. No one becomes an alcoholic by choice--and no one knows when they have those few drinks if they'll be the person who needs--not wants--to have even more.
On a lighter note, Niall Horan is now the top Irish man on Twitter with more than six million followers.
"What a surprise to wake up to! Six million followers! Guys u are amazing, can't say it enough. Thank you!" Niall tweeted after learning the news.
