Robert Pattinson admits to reading at least some of the hundreds of bizarre news reports that emerge in papers and online every day about his and Kristen Stewart's break up earlier this summer. Why does he torture himself like that? He says it's akin to picking a scab.
According to a report from the Columbus Dispatch, the Twilight hunk explains why he is drawn to this kind of self-abuse.
"It's my life
," he says. "You sort of want to read it. You feel like you need to read it. It's one of those things where you keep picking a scab. You know you shouldn't be doing it, but it's a weird kind of addiction. You desperately want to stop."
Isn't this making it even harder for Rob to deal with the cheating debacle? Ever since Kristen Stewart cheated on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the stories have escalated. The media is no doubt to blame for spinning the entire debacle completely out of control. If not for a rather bizarre sense of humor, poor Rob might be insane.
"At times, I find the whole thing pretty funny," he admits. "It is pretty funny. My life is kind of ridiculous to me. It's so absurd at times."
Don't you agree it's time for Robert Pattinson to stop picking that proverbial scab and let his open wound heal? He's talking about meeting Kristen Stewart in person and that's hopefully an indication he's willing to forgive her terrible mistake and try putting their relationship back together again.
When people experience what Rob and Kristen have been through, it's probably best for them to avoid the media. What started as a small indiscretion suddenly becomes a full-fledged horror show--only none of the truth has changed.
