Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are both on board if Kanye gets the call to judge on American Idol. Can you imagine how Kris Jenner is likely scrambling to work this angle into Keeping Up With the Kardashians?
According to a report from Hollywood Life, a source says Kim is excited about the possibility of Kanye getting the gig.
"It's [going
to] happen man - Kanye wants to do [American Idol] and Kim want [him] to do it, too." "[It isn't] final though, but he [wants] to do it badly and Kim [wants] him to do it, and whatever [she wants,] she gets. So watch out...[Kim's] excited though...and [she's] pushing [Kanye] hard to do the [show.] And you know [she's going to] be there with [him] if [it goes] right," a source close to Kanye says.
This would not only be a huge boost to Kanye West's career, but would be spectacular fodder for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kris Jenner is probably on cloud nine with the mere speculation of such an opportunity.
Unfortunately this is probably one of the reasons Kanye won't get the judge's position. Do you think American Idol wants its details reiterated on a trashy reality show? They're having a hard enough time in the ratings as it is.
Of course adding Kanye to the lineup might potentially boost American Idol ratings--but for another reason completely. Look at the judge's lineup on The Voice--the show that has usurped AI in the ratings since its inception. You've got your new Christina Aguilera coming to Idol in the form of Mariah Carey. Would Kanye West become the show's new Cee Lo Green?
Kim Kardashian can hope and pray that Kanye West gets that almighty call from American Idol, but it's far more likely that Bruce Jenner will look like a man before that ever happens--unless they resort to an attempt at replicating The Voice at their judge's table. Then maybe--just maybe...
