Robert Pattinson was recently viciously dissed by The Cutting Edge actor D.B. Sweeney. Sweeney totally trashed the reportedly heartbroken Twilight heart-throb by calling him a "douche" and saying that Kristen Stewart was justified in cheating on him. Yikes. Needless to say, Twihards were not amused, and a Twitter war has now ensued.
"Just saw Pattinson on #DailyShow," Sweeney tweeted, "trying to figure out what took k-stew so long to look around with this douche astride her. #holytwit,"
Ouch. Well, that seems to say it all. Poor RPattz. Of course, as far as Rob's loyal Twihards were concerned, that was just the beginning of a bitter, vicious Twitter war. Twihards are probably not in the best of moods anyway these days. The dissolution of Robsten has been tantamount to the implosion of their universe. And then, D.B. Sweeney dared to insult their deity. To say they were mad as hell is the understatement of the millennium. And they didn't waste any time in making their displeasure known.
"I hate you," wrote one irate RPattz fan. "Do not mess with Rob"
"Don't talk s-t about the greatness which is Rob," tweeted another, "when your credentials can't even match his."
Well, at least they didn't overtly threaten to kill him as disgruntled Justin Bieber fans have sometimes done with people who trashed their idol. Interestingly, Sweeney refused to be intimidated by the Twihards. He dissed them right back.
"Hey #twilight geniuses - try decaf!" Sweeny tweeted. "A little too worked up over a skinny vampire. Nice language twi-hards. Or should I say tards? Love the inchoate indignation."
So there you have it. Looks like the war between D.B. Sweeney and the Twilight fans has been declared. Interestingly, Sweeney recently starred in the movie K-11, which was directed by Kristen Stewart's mom, Jules. So, Sweeney has no doubt at least met the Snow White and the Huntsman star. The plot thickens.
So far, the only people who've kept their mouths shut during this new feud are Kristen Stewart and the object of D.B.Sweeney's acid tongue--Robert Pattinson. KStew is, no doubt, too busy self destructing on a nicotine and Red Bull diet to notice. As for the man of the hour, Pattinson was last seen boozing it up in New York. He doesn't have a Twitter account, but will he somehow pick up the gauntlet and respond?
