Can you define a sick S.O.B.? How about everyone shopping Tony Scott death videos to various media outlets for rather hefty prices? Can you imagine anything quite so offensive and hurtful?
According to a report from TMZ, it seems the Top Gun director's suicidal plunge off an L.A. bridge wound up on several bystander's video cameras, and now many of them are on the market.
Several people on or approaching the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro on Sunday grabbed their video cameras or cell phones when they saw a man climb the fence on to the bridge. Instead of stopping to see if they could stop the clearly distraught person, they continued filming the tragic event.
Tony Scott didn't have brain cancer as erroneously reported by ABC News on Monday. The network has since apologized for their mistake. It's uncertain what kind of emotional turmoil led the talented director to feel his life was no longer worth living.
If you captured footage of this kind of tragedy, would you shop it around for profit? Unfathomable...
