Kate Gosselin One Year Later

It’s doubtful that many people on the planet are wondering where Kate Gosselin is one year after TLC announced the cancellation of Kate Plus 8, but I thought I would highlight what’s happening in Kate’s world these days.

Nothing. Nothing newsworthy anyway and that’s why Kate tweets isn’t it, to try and get back into the news? After all if you don’t have talent isn’t grabbing trashy tabloid headlines the gateway to the fame and fortune Kate desire$? Other than a couple of short out of town runs and a lame attempt to start the world on fire with a rumor that she has a dating show in the works, Kate’s summer was just darn mediocre. She did manage to snag a free beach house for a week but that was small potatoes compared to the luxury cruise she was hoping for.

So until something better falls into her lap, Kate is moving on. What is she doing, you ask?

@Kateplusmy8 Since meeting the lovely girls from @QuiltedNorthern at BlogHer, I picked up their toilet paper today! Thx 4 coupons, girls! Good2meet u! (I hope Kate left a few coupons for others but having 8 kids seems to be enough justification to be greedy. Let’s not forget the 39 boxes of cereal.)

@Kateplusmy8 And, with an extra large family, you know I picked up 120 rolls of @QuiltedNorthern .... Which will only last 2 weeks or so... (sigh)! :) (It’s gratifying to see Kate admitting she’s full of it.)

@Kateplusmy8 I'm labeling back packs & school supplies w my amazing labels from http://www.stuckonyou.biz & I'm having SO much fun! Ah, organizing is SO fun! (It’s almost as much fun as seeing what freebies are in all those UPS and FedEx boxes she lugs home.)

@Kateplusmy8 So cute hearing my little girls discussing how they r gonna ask @taylorswift13 to sing 'safe&sound' next X they c her at 1 of her concerts:) (Do Kate’s fans ever ask her how she can afford concert tickets but not movie tickets?)

@Kateplusmy8 Just ran a grueling STEEP course in Cape Town,South Africa.Thx again @Sears 4 my NordicTrack treadmill so I can stay dry when yucky outside! (Besides grifting Kate often enjoys letting her fans know what she has that they’ll never be able to afford.)

I find Kate’s continual quest for freebies beyond disgusting. I was listening to the radio last night and a man came on requesting a song for his wife who has “stuck with” him through some really rough financial setbacks. He said, “All we have is each other.” Kate, enjoy your 3 cars and your washing machines and dryers and dishwashers, your gross of toilet paper and all the juice drinks and cereal you can snatch off the grocery shelves. Apparently they matter to you more than your self-respect.

BRAVO!! BRAVO!! You hit every mark with this post. This woman is truly disgusting. Instead of giving a little back to all the people that have helped her over the years she just keeps taking. She is certainly not setting a very good example for her children. They are growing up believing that all you have to do is ask and it will be provided. It sure didn't take Georgia Pacific long to try to distance themselves from Kate after the TP fiasco. She is a PR nightmare. All the possessions in the world will not ever be enough to make Kate a truly happy person. I think she is just a miserable individual and twitter and grifting for freebies is all she has left. What a truly depressing way to live.

Thanks, Teresa. Good point about the example she's setting for her kids. It's not difficult to imagine she whines about money to them too, not just her fans. What are they to think when they hear her complaints then see deliveries of gifts from fans and free products suddenly appearing and how joyfully Kate accepts them all?

Brilliant piece! What happened with Georgia Pacific, Teresa?
A few tweets are hinting that the Humane Society showed up at Kate's gate last Sunday. Kate hasn't mentioned her 4-legged family member since getting back from vacation. Anyone know anything?
A year later, Kate is anything but happy, secure and confident. Hence the constant tweeting for validation and retweeting positive platitudes.

Georgia Pacific issued a statement on their website stating that they didn't send Kate any toilet paper, just ome extra coupons they had left over from the blogher12 convention. (although i have my doubts about that) They also state that they are not ffiliatd with Kate in any business venture. It's pretty bad when a major corp. has to issue a statement such as this due to the overwhelming negative responses to them giving her anything for free since he is a millionare.

Was there a negative response directed at GP, or did they decide to issue the statement since Kate herself was hinting around at a connection between her and GP?
Kate is now claiming on Twitter that she works for more than one corporation. I don't know of anyone she "works" for besides Coupon Cabin.
One of these days, she is going to find that her lies, and stretching of the truth are going to make big trouble for her.

They issued the statement because their twitter and facebook were blowing up with people commenting about how they were sending Kate free toilet paper when she is far from needy. The entire statement was an effort on their part to cover their asses in my opinion.

Interesting. It does sound like they were doing damage control. Kate is street smart. She grifts for anything, but she knows that the stuff she uses daily is the best kind of grift (next to luxury vacations, spa visits, etc). Currently, she is schmoozing with Green Mountain Coffee.
If I hear one word about them donating to Kate, I will be selling my stock.

I agree...LOL..I thought I was bad about going through an unreal amount of toilet paper, and my husband will be the FIRST to agree with me, but 62 rolls a week??? For 9 people??? That's over a ROLL a day per person. right???? And 8 of them are kids...LOL...Good GAWD....LOL

Trust Sue Buddy to take a minor situation and turn it against Kate Gosselin. That's all her blog is good for. Get over your jealousy folks. Kate IS a celebrity whether you like it or not. NO where has she begged for anything... With all of you on her back 24/7 it's amazing that she manages to get anything done. Your continual knitpicking and criticism is ridiculous. If you hate her so much, ignore her. That's what she is doing to you.

That's just what Kate did; she alienated her whole immediate family and has exploited and still exploiting her children in different angles and she lies for the sake of lying about everything. Ignoring Kate in these logic's is not going to happen and Megan is correct. And jealousy is her fans favorite word to say to the people who don't agree with what Kate is doing. No one here said in their comments Bonnie Brown that they hate Kate, we're against the lying, grifting, child exploiting that she does. You said that she's not begging for anything? Kate puts hints out there to her fans and companies who will see and listen to get a freebie, no matter what it takes, this is how Kate manages to get everything done with someone doing it for her and getting it done for her. This kids on the other hand is seeing this and is going to learn what she's putting out there for them to see; those kids are going to look back at everything that has gone on in their lives and the lives of their parents when that time comes, especially Mady and Cara who will be 13 this October; they are going to rebellious if they aren't already. So Bonnie, if you think we're going to ignore this, we're not if she keeps finding ways to put herself back out there in the news is what Kate is doing to stay in spotlight because she has no leverage of a show or anything that is worth while to anyone but her children, we support the children, but...not to be used by their mother.

Ahh Bonnie, allow me to enlighten you. Kate is so not ignoring the negativity no matter what she tells you. She is very aware. Why do you think that she constantly posts the positive platitudes? Why is she constantly doing damage control? It's because she, and her agent and her publicist are very aware of her image. So are the networks. They don't mince words. Or they just don't return calls.
It's hard to ignore the majority of the public who want you to just go away when you want a t.v. show, don't have one, and no one will return your calls.

Which is it? She is so busy refuting the negative comments that it is amazing she can get anything (grifting) done OR she just ignores the negative comments? Make up your mind.

She sure seems to have plenty of time to grift and seek approval from strangers via twitter.

Oh yes, 'Bonnie Brown' er, I mean Khate. A made up moniker if ever I've seen one. Sorry sheeple, get out your dictionaries - hahahaha.

Khate is like a bucket with holes in the bottom; no matter how many times it/she gets filled up with "stuff," it just keeps falling out the bottom. She will NEVER be satisfied/full because she is a bottomless pit of need and GREED.
A Black Hole of emotional neediness who won't ever get help. You'd think she'd get a clue by now. I forgot - she's dumb,too.

Ok, let's evaluate this "jealous" accusation. I haven't heard that since high school, really. BUT here goes. Kate has money. Yes she does. She isn't the only one with money. And she obviously is NOT happy even with a boat load of money. So I envy NOT someone who has money. Her looks? Ok she is sort of attractive. Frankly, she has lost a lot of her prettiness trying to be "Hollywood". Bleach blonde, boob job, etc etc. The tanning booth has made her once clear and fresh looking complection look old and leathery. I will pass on that look. Jealous of her many 'talents'? Exactly WHAT are her talents? Her recipes sound HORRIBLE, the ones she actually has 'invented', the others are stolen off of other sites and books. Her organizational skills? She makes labels. Plenty of them. LOL This is not organization. She has had to get help on the show a few times to 'organize'. I really see nothing this woman is good at. She is all smoke and mirrors, created by TLC. Hyped BS. It is really a shame that so many people are so fooled by this. Several times she has claimed to spend 2K for groceries each month? Really? A HUGE coupon user and organic cook. MANY of us have large families we cook for and know dang well that 2K is ridiculous and mostly another BS lie. Everything this woman boasts about is pure fantasy. Jealous of this? Jealous of a female who has hardly NO friends at all? Family is not around. Who has to go on twitter to get compliments and talk to adults? I think I will pass on that too. Not jealous here of a thing that Kate has or supposedly respresents. She is fake through and through.

I forgot something. I could never be jealous of someone who keeps begging and begging for a network to pick up a stupid idea of this woman traveling around the country (on the networks dime, for sure) to meet "Mr Right". No network has nor will, (I would bet on it) come forth to grab this stunnning and original idea. LOL where are the publishers for her new book? Her cookbook? Ever ask yourself WHY wasn't a cookbook published when she was HOT? I will tell you. Each recipe is tested by the publisher for originality and taste. Her recipes are mostly stolen ones that she has changed around a little. Kate claimed it wasn't published due the economy. That is another lie. The ONLY books that have increased steadily in sales are ........COOKBOOKS. Look it up. Kate is washed up and is done. Jealous? LOLOL
