Zombie to Challenge Obama and Romney in November

A San Diego man, whose name is A. Zombie, is announcing his attempt to unseat President Barack Obama in November.

In addition, he and his living human wife Patty, are planning a tour of several American cities to talk about their paranormal platform. On their itinerary will be Charlotte and Tampa, where the Democratic and Republican National Conventions will be held, respectively.

This has been a fairly dreary election, so it's refreshing that someone is injecting a little humor into the political process. The San Diego man says his platform consists of two major issues, advancing the cause of the undead, and drumming up support for his favorite television show, The Walking Dead.

However, Monday's announcement will undoubtedly fuel the crazy conspiracies theories about a coming apocalypse. There were all those cannibal attacks earlier in the summer, and now one of these zombies is actually trying to get into the White House?

If he wins the election, A. shouldn't have too much trouble making friends in Washington. Zombies lack self-awareness and conscious thought, but show a mindless adherence to authority, which pretty much describes everyone in Congress.

In Canada we used to have a party called the Rhinoceros Party that actually ran candidates in elections. The Rhinos had all kinds of work erful policies like outlawing guns and butter, since both killed. Ending crime by abolishing all laws. Making the Canadian climate more temperate by tapping into the natural resource of hot air in Ottawa. Offering to call off the proposed Belgium-Canada war if Belgium delivered a case of mussels and a case of Belgian beer to Rhinoceros "Hindquarters" in Montreal (the Belgian Embassy in Ottawa did, in fact, do this).

Former Montreal Expos pitcher, well known kook and native American 'Spaceman' Bill Lee once ran for president of the USA under the Rhinoceros banner, though the party is not recognized stateside.

Your now defunct Rhinoceros Party sounds alot like the new Teapublican Party here in the USA. Maybe they were some of those 12/20 million illegal immirgrants who have come to our shores over the past few dozen years.
