The media should shoulder some of the blame for the Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson/Rupert Sanders debacle. The rumors and lies that swirl on a daily basis have likely caused insult to injury in the already painful ordeal.
According to a report from FOX News, the media has 'crucified' Stewart since her cheating on Robert Pattinson scandal erupted. And sure—no one denies Kristen was in the wrong for cheating on Rob, but she didn't act alone and she probably doesn't deserve to be crucified.
A couple of facets to the media's ongoing coverage of what really amounts to nothing in this scandal has not only destroyed Stewart's reputation, but has likely destroyed any chances of Robert Pattinson taking her back. After all the stories and sensationalizing, might Rob not find it embarrassing to take her back—even if that's what he truly wants?
And don't forget what the constant rehashing is also doing to Rupert Sanders and his family. As guilty as Kristen—if not even perhaps a bit more so—Sanders and his wife Liberty Ross want to recommit to making their marriage work, but every time one of them is out in public they're reminded of the painful infidelity.
Kristen Stewart is a victim of what insiders call 'tabloid persecution.' Her name sells. What she did sells. And keeping the fire burning under what should have garnered interest for two or three days assures the tabloids they'll keep on reaping huge rewards from someone else's misery.
Have readers and fans seen the last of the Stewart/Pattinson/Sanders debacle? Not likely. And rest assured that any move one of the three makes toward putting his or her life back together again—it will wind up (most likely misconstrued) on the front page of many tabloids.
