Hillary Clinton will not replace bumbling Joe Biden on the Barack Obama ticket this year, according to author Ed Klein.
Citing unnamed sources, Klein said White House aide Valerie Jarrett recently put the vice presidential slot on the table for Hillary during a lunch meeting.
"The lunch was ostensibly about policy issues, but the subject of the vice presidency came up. Hillary told Valerie Jarrett that she was not interested in running as Obama's vice president," he said.
The Obama campaign isn't in a desperate place, politically, so they may not need to recruit Hillary, anyway. Mitt Romney and Obama are pretty much neck-and-neck at this point. So, Obama might be able to squeak by on Nov. 6, even with the gaffe-prone Biden as his running mate.
"Bill Clinton, I'm told, was urging his wife to accept the number two spot if it was formally offered. Bill sees the vice presidency as the perfect launching pad for Hillary to run for president in 2016," Klein said.
Hillary is making a smart move by not joining the ticket, because if Romney and Paul Ryan win, she would be labelled a loser. On the other hand, if she and Obama secure another four years, Hillary Clinton would be linked to his policies. And so far, Obama's policies have been complete failures. Klein said among the reasons that she would not want on the ticket is that she would be put in vulnerable positions, should she decide to run for president four years from now in 2016.
Why I tend to not believe the story, or at least, the way it's being portrayed!
It is highly unlikely that Hillary Clinton will again seek to run for the presidency. She has always wanted to achieve things in her political career. I believe to this end she prefered to be Secretary of State rather than VP as it is often a more active position. Surely Clinton has been more visible a member of Obama's administration than Biden has.
It is also highly unlikely that Obama would dump Biden unless there was a clear health reason for doing so. Biden may not be a strong running mate, but he is not exactly dead weight. He did mop up the floor with Sarah Palin in the 2008 VP debate, although it is true that many an 8th grader could have done that. Changing VPs would be a sign of desperation, and there is no reason that Obama should be feeling desperate and this point.
Now Biden... did he have a stroke or something? Or did they remove his brain to put those hair plugs in? Wow, and that dude is a heartbeat away from being president. T H A T is scary. Mop the floor with Sarah? Hardly. Gee, how hard is it to give Joey the questions ahead of time, then ask Sarah gotcha questions? But yeah, Joe's a great guy...

Hilary stated last year that she's retiring after this term, whatever happens. This isn't a news story, this is just another diversion by the right wing press to keep the attention off Romney's tax returns and Ryan's America killing budget.
Obama talks big about creating jobs, but most if not all of his proposals and budgets were defeated on a bipartisan basis. So we don't need diversions, we can just make sure that the people know what is happening, even if the media will not. The diversions are on Obama's side, in the attempt to hide from history.
