Taylor Swift is no stranger to setting and breaking records in the music industry, and her newest single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", is likely to be no exception. In fact, it seems poised to set a record for digital sales, potentially bypassing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and the 448,000 download record it set in 2011.
According to Billboard, the new single has shot both to the top twenty-five songs in iTunes, as well as one of the forty most played songs on the radio, despite being released a mere three days ago! Perhaps part of the reason was due to many radio stations doing promotions for the lead single from Swift's upcoming album, Red, which included playing the song every hour on the hour in some cases. Even still, Taylor Swift is no stranger to radio play and setting records, and the song is most likely only going to get more popular and played more frequently!
Have you heard "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" yet? What did you think of the song? Is it something you would want to hear more of, or are you already sick of the song and of Swift in general?
