The latest LA Lakers trade rumors have the league finalizing and approving all portions of the Dwight Howard trade. Involving 12 players, three draft picks and four teams, this was definitely the biggest deal of the offseason for the league.
According to NBA.com, the Orlando Magic will receive Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless, Josh McRoberts and Christian Eyenga as part of the deal. The team also receiver a future first-round pick from the Philadelphia 76ers, a 2014 first-round pick from the Denver Nuggets and a 2017 first-round pick from the Los Angeles Lakers.
On the Lakers' end of things, the team receives Howard, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark. All three players could become useful pieces for the team in the 2012-13 season and Duhon might actually be a nice player to come off the bench when starting point guard Steve Nash needs a breather. Clark can also provide some great size off the bench with the second unit.
As for the other parts of the deal, Philadelphia receives Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson and the Nuggets receive Andre Iguodala. Both of those teams seem to have come out well in the trade, with the Magic as the only team not bringing back an All-Star player in the deal.
What do you think about the haul that the deal brought the Los Angeles Lakers? Are there other LA Lakers trade rumors that you hope come true during the offseason?
