Robert Pattinson's first interview since Kristen Stewart's 'momentary indiscretion' with Rupert Sanders went public airs Monday night, and fans will surely be glued to the television screen ready to hang on Rob's every word. Although the purpose of Rob's appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is to promote Cosmopolis, that's certainly not what the world is most interested in hearing about. There's been a lot of talk about the RPattz/KStew split, but this is the first opportunity to hear something about it from Pattinson himself.
Naturally, Stewart is a little worried about what will be said about her on television. The press hasn't exactly been kind to Stewart since the scandal, labelling her a home wrecker and common trollop. It's likely there will be an additional jab or two at Kristen's expense during the interview. Although Rob's words will be the most influential on the media, Kristen is reportedly more worried about what will come out of interviewer Jon Stewart's mouth.
"She's confident that Robert, who has always been such a private person about his personal life, will keep quiet over the cheating scandal. But she does have some concerns that Stewart might poke fun at the situation in an attempt to get Robert to open up," a source close to Kristen Stewart revealed. "While she has a sense of humor, this isn't something she wants joked about. Kristen is hurting and doesn't want her heartbreak poked fun at on TV."
Although it may sound callous, how much more harm can really be done at this point? Ever since the photos of Kristen and Rupert Sanders went public, she has been the object of heckling and ridicule. It's going to take a long time for the aftermath of the scandal to settle down, especially with so many more press opportunities on the horizon with the promotion of Breaking Dawn 2. Kristen really doesn't have a choice in waiting for all the hoopla and trash talking to subside; the only thing she has control of is how she deals with it. She apparently didn't worry about the consequences when she committed the 'indiscretion' with her Snow White and the Huntsman Director, so she shouldn't worry about any consequences from Robert Pattinson's television interview.
