..b. Also banking rules relaxed to where the "domino effect" happened to banks, who traded mortgages, like I traded playing cards when I was young.
...Ownership of many such mortgages are in serious doubt, and homes that were not even mortgaged, have been foreclosed on.
...Insurance companies gave so much money to their personnel as bonuses, one wife got 1 million as a bonus for just one quarter; that when a bad financial/calamity season happened, they had no reserves.

...Suppliers that caused massive fraud.

...One thing that is looming over us like the financial sword of Damaclease; IF no action is taken before 01/01/2013, and the "super committee" that was supposed to decide on what taxes and programs to cut, has only decided on a seating arrangement.
...If it is NOT resolved, student loan rates will at least double, (some say they could quadruple) no mor3e SBA (Small Business Administration) loans, causing more stagnation.
...Everyone's tax rates will go up dramatically. The deduction for kids will drop by half, and thats just the first quarter page of more than 30 pages or programs, tax cuts/rises; etc that will be changed automatically.
...That will cause another financial calamity that will make what we have been through look like a Sunday school picnic, because it will cause a second round of bank losses, etc and the dust bowl years will look good, because we will go through hell because BOTH parties want to make political points rather than just get down and do the business that they were elected to!

Goldwater, Nixon, Ford tried to get change within the medical field.
Ronald Regan started this bad trend of kissing up to corporations and his failed trickle down theory. It was his watch when needed programs for the poor and sick were cut, costing the lives of 6 of my friends.
Lincoln was not being supported by the slavery big money interests. He was supported by a host of other big money interests. Remember that the industrialized part of the nation was in favor of high tariffs to "support" their profits. The industrial big money interests defeated the slavery big money interests.
The Republican Party has been taken over by the same interests which were the Southern block in Congress plus the very conservative wing of the Republican Party. You will notice it's the same states as opposed Civil Rights.
Believe it or not, a recent poll here in the state, has Obama at a slight lead over Romney.
