Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been an off-and-on item for some time. Of course, the couple recently took their longstanding relationship to a huge new level via an engagement ring and thoughts of a future wedding. And with that new status came myriad reports questioning the judgment of such a step and claiming that Cyrus, at 19, is too young to be thinking marriage and that the match between a party-girl-cum-Pilates princess and an Australian actor hunk would never work.
However, Cyrus is bucking such banal rumors and is sharing her own words of wisdom in the September issue of Marie Claire magazine, for which she also plays cover girl (and looks better and more glam than ever!). She talks extensively about her love for Liam Hemsworth in the glossy, even revealing why their romance works so well. She also talked about the big green enemy of jealousy and why it has no place in her relationship with the handsome Hemsworth.
"People will say, 'Oh Liam is so close to Jennifer Lawrence [from The Hunger Games].' Well yeah, they just shot a movie together! He's supposed to ignore her because she's a chick?" Cyrus exclaimed to the glossy, as Entertainmentwise reports. "I could be standing next to a guy who is wearing a rainbow-colored shirt that says, 'I'm gay' and people would still write, 'Who is that guy with Miley?' It's all bulls***. Luckily, neither one of us is super-jealous. We know each other and would never do anything to hurt each other.''
Miley Cyrus certainly seems to have the right attitude (she even has that eye tattoo on her finger to apparently ward off any evil vibes!), and has lately been expressing via Twitter her disgust with the paparazzi and the stories projected onto her without proof. But, still, it's a good thing that neither she or Hemsworth is the jealous type. That trust factor will no doubt play a huge positive role in their relationship; one in which there will always be other hot co-stars around, whether it's Jennifer Lawrence or someone else.
Fellow young couples who have been so far successful in their high-profile love stories, such as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, must also have trust in spades. After all, the entertainment industry constantly puts other sizzling young stars in their paths, and jealousy, envy and suspicion could easily consume the less confident.
